A wedding is such a personal, yet public, moment that I am sure you want it to be the best it can be. Brides are (sometimes!) willing to spend thousands on their shoes and photos, but if you ask someone who was recently married what was make or break on their wedding day, it is often the service itself.
Everyone remembers the bad wedding ceremony. The celebrant forgot or got wrong the names of the wedding party, they were late to the venue, or the service was just plain boring. I went to one once where the minister droned on for so long about nothing relevant to the couple, or even marriage, that the groom fainted. I suspect he might have done it deliberately.
However, a good wedding is also remembered forever. A beautiful location, a couple who obviously love each other and a ceremony that was written for them and about them can result in a magical wedding, and hopefully a magical marriage.
There are a couple of legal components that have to be included in every wedding to make sure it complies with the Marriage Act, but apart from those, you can have anything you want in a wedding. I am happy to suggest ideas, and to work with any you might have. Whether you are interested in a Pagan, simple or traditional wedding, I can make a ceremony that you will be thrilled with.
If you hire me to be your celebrant, I guarantee that you will be the only wedding I do on that day, so I can’t get caught up with other couples. I will write your ceremony from scratch, and guide and inspire you to include your own ideas, should you wish to. I am adventurous about locations, and do not get sea-sick! For an additional fee, I will travel outside my usual area or stay overnight. I will make sure you have a rehearsal wherever possible. I will recommend readings and music. I will be available to you before the wedding for questions and changes. Changes can be made up to minutes before the ceremony.
If you are interested in knowing more about me or my work, or just want to chat, please feel free to contact me and I will be happy to meet you at a location of your choice, either in your home or elsewhere.
I look forward to working with you.
